Indexer – The MCPI control card

The MCPI control card is designed to ensure easy integration and to improve the performance of our indexing tables:

• Motor braking is achieved by direct current injection, which enables the use of standard brake-free motors.  This means no mechanical brake wear.
• The emergency stop cycles are managed to avoid damaging the mechanism: rapid but gradual braking (no impact), then restarting and end of current cycle performed at low speed.
• Cycle times are optimized thanks to the rapid response of the control card.
• Electrical integration has been simplified (input: one dry contact to manage the cycle, outputs: 2 dry contacts: table in indexed position + stopped motor).
• The extra cost of the solution is largely compensated by the savings made on the electrical integration.
